Happy Friday! I managed to get some practice doing Leah Day's pearled feather design. My squares are bigger and it was hard to keep the feathers going in the right direction. Even though it's very imperfect I still like the effect.
I did some background quilting on one of the practice pieces from the class I took with Linda Hall.
I think I'm going to learn from Gwyned Trefethen to set goals for the coming week. My goal is to actually bind the wall hanging and the baby quilt. I'll start with the wall hanging just to get some practice. It's been quite a while since I've done anything like that.
I'm linking up with Leah Day's Free Motion Quilting Project. Happy 4th Anniversary, Leah! I really appreciate all that you do. Let's go see what everyone else has been doing.
This looks great - I love the texture!

DeleteThanks for stopping by theboredzombie.com today! It's nice to meet you and I like what you're doing here. I'll be sure to come by another time and see what's going on!
ReplyDeleteThank you too for stopping by. I'm new to blogging so it's really nice to get a response. And it's incentive to actually finish projects. Like every other creative person I have UFOs and WIPs. In addition to quilting, I bead, do stained glass (just getting back into that) and paint (it's been a while). I'm taking an on-line class with Jane LaFazio. It's pen and watercolor on Strathmore art card.
ReplyDeleteOne of my ideas it to design a piece and try it in all my mediums. Won't that be fun!
